About me
Hannah is an experienced horticulturist and environmental educator with over 12 years of experience across conservation, environmental management, horticulture and garden design. She has extensive knowledge of South Australian native plants, their ecological relationships and the important role they play in supporting local wildlife. From understanding the natural vegetation communities of a site to selecting plants that provide food, shelter and nesting opportunities, Hannah takes an ecology-led approach to creating gardens that contribute to healthier, more connected landscapes.
Combining her horticultural expertise with a creative eye for design, Hannah works with clients to create beautiful, functional gardens that reflect the character of their surroundings while meeting the needs of the people who use them. She considers everything from plant form, texture and seasonal interest to soil conditions, site exposure, habitat features and long-term maintenance. Her designs aim to strike a balance between aesthetics, practicality and ecological value, showing how gardens of all sizes can provide meaningful habitat for birds, native bees, butterflies and other local wildlife.
“Hannah helped us create a beautiful, biodiverse planting guide with native species for our block. Her passion and dedication were a joy to witness—we can’t wait to see it all grow!”
