Incursions

Our incursions bring the natural world to life for young learners, inspiring curiosity, wonder, and a love of wildlife. Through hands-on activities, storytelling, and guided exploration, children discover how native plants and animals interact, why they matter, and how we can care for them.

Each session is designed to be fun, engaging, and educational, helping children develop a deeper connection with the environment while sparking their imagination and sense of discovery.

  • Habitat Heroes

In this engaging incursion, children will discover what habitats are and why they are so important for native wildlife. They’ll explore the relationships between plants and animals, learning how each depends on the other to thrive. Through discussion and fun examples, kids will understand simple ways they can support nature right in their own backyard.

The session includes a hands-on activity where children work together in small teams to design and create their own mini native habitat, putting their new knowledge into action while fostering teamwork and a sense of stewardship for the natural world.
